About Me

ABOUT ME

1. I'm addicted to travelling but not to tourism (if you understand what I mean). That's why I adore meeting new people and exploring their mindset, lifestyle and vision.

2. Exploring the world gives me a deep understanding of who I am indeed. As my mom says, "one explores the world to find the world in himself". Every trip, that I take, tells me more and more about myself.

3. Enjoying every moment of my life. One of my favourite quotes is from "Atlas Shrugged" (Ayn Rand): "You should be proud of every hour of your lifetime"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Many people consider Couchsurfing as a nice way to save money. It's not about me. If I want to save money, I can take a tent with me or book a cheap hostel.

I'm on Couchsurfing to explore peoples' mindset and to become "local" even if I stay in the city just for two days. I'm not chasing all museums and hot spots in the world :) For me, it's better to visit a few hidden gems that only locals know.

I've already experienced Couchsurfing in Serbia, Montenegro, Portugal and Italy. And this experience was compelling! All my hosts are astounding people!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiking! May be, it sounds too simple because many people do it. But for me it was exciting experience that I'd like to repeat one day.

And also my volunteership with AIESEC. I was a volunteer three times:
- Serbia. Teaching Russian in school to teens from 10 to 13 years old. I stayed there for 1,5 month
- China. Teaching English in a private school to adults, teens and kids. My youngest student was 8 years old, the oldest one - 45 years old. I stayed there for 2 months
- Vietnam. Teaching Russian in school to teens from 16 to 18 years old. I stayed there for 2 months
