About Me

I’m a young and active person with a mix of interests: traveling, theatre, digital marketing, and hiking. My core values are freedom and curiosity. I believe it’s important to truly stand behind what you do and find meaning in it.

Social responsibility and volunteering play a big role in my life. At the moment, one of the most meaningful things for me is being a mentor for a teenager who grew up in a boarding school.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I had my first Couchsurfing experiences when I was younger, and they left me with some of my favorite travel memories. It’s such an incredible way to see a city through the eyes of a local, not just as a tourist. For me, people are always the most valuable part of any journey.

Music, Movies, and Books

Honestly, I don’t watch too many movies at home — I prefer listening to interviews with artists and inspiring personalities on YouTube. But I do love going to the cinema, because it’s the one place where you can’t get distracted by your phone and can really focus. Most often, I watch Ukrainian films — documentaries or dramedies. Two of my favorites that I’d highly recommend are Pamfir and Luxembourg, Luxembourg.

From more widely known films, I love classics about life, like Forrest Gump and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I also enjoyed sagas such as Life Itself.

When it comes to books, I don’t read much fiction lately — except when I travel. I usually lean toward history and non-fiction. Recently I finished Sebastian Junger’s Tribe, about the role of community in recovering from hard times and its impact on happiness. It’s a short read but full of inspiring ideas.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I swam in a secret cave with icy water in California. It was breathtakingly beautiful — and such a funny contrast between the hot weather outside and the freezing water inside.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’d love to share stories about Ukraine, its resilience, and its unique vibe. I can teach you some Ukrainian dances or language, or we could cook together. I’m also happy to share stories from my travels — like surfing in Hawaii or camping in a redwood forest where a bear wandered near our tent. On a deeper note, I can also talk about my experience mentoring teenagers from boarding schools as they transition to independent life.
