Hiya!
I’m Sofija, I come from Latvia - a small country by Baltic Sea. I am an open-minded and curious person - I love hearing stories and learning about other countries and cultures. And take a lot of photos along the way.

Last year I decided to take a gap year, and I haven’t regretted it a bit. Since then I have traveled across Europe, and worked in an NGO with youth events and projects, and volunteered in the Netherlands.

Also, I know this profile is very new and might look fake, so I am more than happy to call before meeting up.
But I have "couchsurfed" via facebook, hitchhiked and stayed with people by knocking on the door before and these were definitely some of the best experiences of my life

I just love books.
“Warrior Cats” was my childhood.
“Miss Peregrine’s house for Peculiar children” followed me through my teenage years.
“Salt to the Sea” by Ruta Sepetys has been a favorite for years.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Performed a "rolling stones" song (that I didn't really know) to a private party at a bar in a small town in the Netherlands that doesn't even have a shop.

Oh and we hitchhiked there and stayed with an old couple that we met on the street that day.

I just learned that nettles don’t sting if you hold your breath while touching them. Why did no one tell me that while I was a kid?

My love for life and interesting conversations. My perspective and culture. Probably also snacks from my country or the Netherlands - depending where I am coming from.
