Overview
About Me
I love traveling, building strong relationships, studying and applying new concepts, researching complex human behavior, analyzing and creating solutions to problems, learning new languages, and socializing with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Ever since I was a teenager, I’ve been curious about the nature of the world, who I am, and how the world works. That curiosity led me to study physics and astrophysics during my undergrad, followed by an MA in philosophy and religious traditions. After that, I traveled extensively before beginning my PhD. My doctoral research explores the financial practices of religious individuals; how they think and act in relation to banks, interest/usury, insurance, consumption, and work ethics. These days, I spend most of my time researching, writing my dissertation, teaching, and working on side projects.
Some of my hobbies include hiking, reading nonfiction, playing soccer, improv, cooking, socializing, and experimenting with hot and cold herbal drinks.
Every place I’ve lived has offered its own perspective and taught me valuable lessons. I believe each of us has a purpose. Mine is to explore and understand the world, share what I learn, build meaningful things, live life fully, and make real connections—friends, companions, and loved ones—along the way.
