About Me
Hello! I'm Soizic, I love to travel, cook and meet beautiful people. I'm French and I live in Madrid to work as a baker, which is my passion. I can tell you jokes and make bread or desserts :) See you soon with great pleasure!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My conception of travel (and life) is towards others and authentic experiences. I like to meet people from different cultures and I learn a lot thanks to them. I’m very new in CS but already 100% convinced 😀
“We can’t be and have” —> I prefer acumulate memories, conversations, recipes, smiles, knowledge and funny stories than money or things in general 😅

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Attenting the birth of my nephew 😳😳. Understanding so much better the maternity and the power of life.
Living three months in Colombia to share and learn with coffee and cocoa producers, and bakers, pastry chefs and cookers 😋. I was a volunteer for an association of defense and protection of the territory against the setting up of a mega-mine in the region.
Crossing the atlantic on a sailing boat with 3 friends of mine, 2 skippers from Argentine and a german guy, other member of the crew:) very funny and intense human experience
A 2 months roadtrip from France to Rumania with two friends of mine. Volunteering in vineyards in Rumania without speaking rumanian (smile and food langage ❤️) and in a farm in Croatia to collect olives and safran. Crazy experience
Carnaval de Tilcara in North of Argentine and 4 days trekking in the north of Argentina, at 4000 of altitude with a high mountain guide. We were overtaken by heavy thunderstorms and torrential rains and I really felt tiny and useless in front of nature.
Three days trek in the jungle in Thailand and I ate a snake hunted by the father of our guide. During the same trip I also had to eat (because I had lost a bet) a hairy and disgusting spider.
Teach, Learn, Share
I had my mid-life crisis at a young age (22) and I left everything (country, friends, family and work in “responsible” finance) to become a baker in Madrid. I bake sourdough bread only, I love cooking and I'm passionate about bread and fermentation. Opening a bakery with high quality products, a good philosophy of sourcing raw materials and a great respect for workers makes me dream more than going back to work on excel sitting on a chair all day ahah
In 2024, I was working as a pastry chef in a great restaurant in Lyon (Paul Bocuse) to learn the basics of the french pastry. Interesting but I prefer fermentation / bread 😅😀
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am very curious and I want to learn all the time. I love to talk, I want to know everything about you, that you teach me what you know!
I love to cook and will be happy to share good recipes! I can make you dinner, teach you how to make sourdough bread or croissants :P
