ABOUT ME

I grew up in San Francisco. I went to Humboldt State and got degrees in Elementary Education and Theater, did a year with Americorps, and got a multiple subject teaching credential. In Arcata I enjoyed the redwoods and the ocean and had fun being part of the Humboldt Circus. I have also been involved with Vegetable Circus and Spark! Circus, an outreach circus in Thailand. I am a juggler, poi spinner, hula hooper, clown, and also enjoy doing partner acrobatics, dancing, singing, jamming, swimming, and enjoying nature. I love learning new things, meeting positive people, having philosophical conversations, and doing good in this world. For the last couple years I have been living with my boyfriend in Durham,NC. I have been taking prerequisites to go back to school so I can become a Registered Dietitian. Currently I am visiting family and friends in San Francisco, dog sitting, and planning visits to graduate schools on the west coast. I look forward to meeting you and will gladly teach you any skills I can.

PHILOSOPHY

I was inspired when I asked a painter, Matt Jones, his inspiration. He told me that so many people get caught up in trying to recreate a positive experience. What he prefers to do is to find the joy in the new experience and to be as present as possible. I am working on this for myself.

I have couchsurfed mostly in Hawaii and am looking forward to doing it more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been in the circus, watched sloths slumber on trees, got jacked by monkeys, and danced in a dust storm. I am most proud of my work with Spark! Circus. A group of 20 of us from all around the world visiting children in migrant schools, community centers, orphanages, a medical center, and refugee camp. We taught them a variety of circus skills, donated toys to them, played games, and put on shows. Seeing the smiles on their faces was priceless.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love teaching circus skills. I would love to learn more percussion, singing, guitar, cooking. I love learning and sharing my skills.
