About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Design internship in Amsterdam, looking to find fun creative people to hang out with

ABOUT ME

wow, its hard to "sum yourself up in" a paragraph but I think my 'personal philosophy' probably does a better job of giving you an idea of how i think. I'm easygoing but I have opinions. I'm creative and I enjoy rethinking the traditional path. I laugh a lot(either I have quite a few funny people in my life or my friends are too nice to tell me Im not funny). I love meeting people although I'm always a little quiet at first until I get a feel for the situation.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that things happen for a reason, but i also believe there is a reason to make things happen.
I'd rather learn from a mistake than wonder 'what if...'

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The best "vacations" I've ever had have been in cities where I've seen it from the inside out. Whether I'm meeting an old friend or making a new one, a city is best enjoyed in local hangouts.

Interests

I enjoy all sorts of things, i think i must have been a very easy child to entertain... it really doesn't take much. i enjoy making things, laughing, sewing, writing, meeting people, cooking, doing anything active or just sitting and doing nothing at all.

Music, Movies, and Books

book i just finished: "The Possessed" by Albert Camus
Movies I just saw: "Sin City" Frank Miller (aesthically amazing) & "Million Dollar Baby" (phenomenal but sad)
Movie I want to see: "The 40 year old virgin" (I hope its as funny as it looks)
I love arthouse movies but then sometimes i want to see a romantic-comedy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few years ago, my sister and I went on a five day white water rafting trip in the Pacific Northwest(Oregon/Washington state in the US). It was just the two of us and I was nervous to be so removed for such a long time. But my sister, who is a white water raft guide, taught me how to row the boat, read the water, cook on a camp stove and really enjoy the scenery. Excluding the sunburn, it's one of my favorite memories.
