ABOUT ME

I am going back to my job in Haines. I work on a gillnet tender called the Neptune.
I'm looking forward to a 16 week season packed to the gills (hur hur) with tons of excitement. Or at least tons of fish.
You can see some pictures of the boat in my photos. People always say the neptune has a lot of character, which means it looks old and rusty. People also say Captain Don has a lot of character i.e. he's old and crusty.

I've spent this winter messing around, visiting my family. I spent a few months in Hawaii, visiting my brother.
I also spent a while in Oregon, visiting other family, and then went to Minnesota where I saw even more family. We really spread ourselves out.

Interests

I like the sound of rain on the water. It reminds me of crickets.
I like the smell of diesel exhaust because it reminds me of the Greyhound station and going places.
When I was on my bike tours, I liked being at the top of hills. I liked it even better than the downhill rush.
Some other things I like; the sound of scissors cutting through paper, the feel of onion skins, bubbles, sharp knives, cheese, bread, grilled cheese sandwiches, videogames, books, bikes, good shoes, the smell of garlic cooking, showers, motorcycles, airport lights(the spinning blue and white one in particular), popcorn, zombie movies, pets, easy chairs, lasers and swords.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw the water glowing with phosphorescent plankton.
I saw porpoises riding the bow wave of our boat.
I saw a man with a beard down to his knees.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like fixing stuff. Bikes and small engines are my favorite. I also like fixing computers, electronics, and elections.
I'd like to learn to dance, but have terrible dance-phobia.
