ABOUT ME

How would I describe myself? Hopefully my references will speak for themselves, but if not, you should know that I'm open-minded, free-spirited, and respectful.

I enjoy being unique and actively finding those moments in time that are awe-inspiring. I think the most awe-inspiring things are found by traveling and exploring the world at large, socializing and making friends along the way. Couchsurfing, at least from my personal experience, seems to embody this perfectly, and I've enjoyed every moment of it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As much as I love traveling and 'surfing,' meeting travelers here in my hometown can be just as exciting. This is why I actually love to host as many people as my schedule permits, and goto weekly meetings or the occasional meetup here in town.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've already couchsurfed in New York City and Boston, and hosted a ton of visitors coming to London, Canada. I also went on a Eurotrip that involved 100% couchsurfing for 23 nights total in Rome, Prague, Budapest, Vienna, Graz, Munich, Zurich, Lyon, and Paris. I also couchsurfed on a west coast trip from San Diego to Vancouver! More recently I couchsurfed in a couple academic cities in Germany. Easily some of the best experiences of my life. :)

兴趣

Besides my research and traveling, I really enjoy discovering, listening, and finally going to see music artists. There's just something to be said about the wonderful feeling you get when you find the perfect song to put your mind to music. Other than that, I enjoy trying new things, running, sports, cooking, and of course, beer and scotch.

I have a pretty crazy collection of movies and music artists on my media computer, but some of my favourite movies include: Lost in Translation, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Diving Bell and the Butterfly, Stranger than Fiction, Fight Club, Cruel Intentions, etc... For music, I enjoy bands like Jimmy Eat World, Our Lady Peace, Blink 182, Rise Against, Sum 41, Billy Talent, Rammstein, The Airborne Toxic Event, Death Cab for Cutie, Metric, The Killers, The Antlers, Radical Face, etc...

Everything amazes me but just seeing how people from other places live and think is truly mind opening.

I think exchanging knowledge or skills is the most underated aspect of couchsurfing as my most positive experiences have been when I learn something new that makes me feel like concepts like fate exist in life.

I'm quite knowledgeable in medical disciplines like neuroscience, physiology, and pharmacology, skillful in writing/editing, cooking in the kitchen and with computers/programming, probably could show you some amazing movies, anime or music artists you don't know about, and perhaps most importantly can hold my own in beer pong and know how to have fun in the London area!

I'm sure there is something you can tell me that I don't know about! ;-)
