ABOUT ME

I am a truth seeking musician. I come from a family of musicians and have recently discovered that my tastes are rapidly expanding into so many exciting genres. I aspire to be a world traveler. So far, I have been all up and down the West coast and throughout various places in the US, as well as Brazil and Mexico. I have been staying put a bit more throughout the past couple years, but I'm ready to hit the road again. :)
I have equally as many extroverted tendencies as I do introverted ones. I guess it all depends on my mood and perhaps whose around. If I had an ideal day, it would be waking up to the sunshine, playing music over coffee, swimming a mile in whatever clean body of water is near-by, heading to the trees for a picnic, then to a cafe for afternoon tea and good conversation; all of this would be followed by an hour of pampering at home (you only get to know the details of this if you are very close to me) then out for some great live music and dancing. Oh, and wine. :)

Interests

I love people. I like meeting all different kinds of people from different walks of life. I also love anything to do with water: swimming (especially), boating, fishing, just staring. :) I have an undeniable urge to jump into most all natural bodies of water that I come across. Really I appreciate all nature, but I have a remarkable adoration for water.
I like to be warm, so cold climates are not my favorite although having grown up in Pennsylvania, I can even appreciate the winter months so long as I have a hot fire to sit next to.
My family is very important to me and I am quite close with my sister and my father. I have a special connection with children, as I starting raising them at the tender age of 13. My sister is more like my daughter. I was a nanny for many years, and still children seem to find me.
I am interested in learning Aikido this year. I am a natural born dancer and this meditative martial art appeals to me as a dance and a self-defense.
I would also like to learn archery so that I can hunt small game and deer. My goals for this year are to do those things, and buy my first motorcycle. My father is an expert motorcyclist and I grew up on the back if his bike. Now I would like to keep the hobby in the family and take it across the U.S. next summer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I see amazing things happen everyday. I am awestruck by the simplist interactions between people. I find human nature more astonishing than anything.
I tried to help a young woman with hypothermia once. She and her boyfriend had been caught in a high desert snow storm and were lost in it all night. We found them the next morning and did what we could to help her. All the people present who put their courage and hearts into saving someone's life are heroes in my mind and I will tell anyone who wants to know it the full story over coffee. It was incredible.

I became responsible for my two youngest siblings when I was 13 years old and was their primary caregiver for 5 years. That one experience has shaped most of who I am today, and instilled a natural care and compassion for all beings.
