About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn as much as I can and to pass on the knowledge.

ABOUT ME

I like to cook and experiment with different foods and spices. I'm not much on recipes though. I enjoyed working as a carpenter because it involves working with my hands and seeing the progress of my work.

PHILOSOPHY

Compassion is a thankless act but it promotes camaraderie.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't had much of an opportunity to participate over the past few years as my life has been hectic. But I'd like to start. We'll see how things go.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed for a week in San Diego with a very nice woman and her cat. Most recently with a cool guy in Fayetteville overnight. Fun times.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movie: A Bronx Tale
books by Terry Pratchett
Been recently listening to conscious hip-hop and some punk. Dirty Heads is currently my favorite band

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One image that sticks in my mind is from the Navy. I was on an LHD which is a pretty big ship that carries helicopters, planes, and hovercrafts (LCACS). I was leaning over the railing on the bow looking at where the ship slices through the water and a whole school of flying fish shot out of the water and flew about 100 yards before landing in the ocean.

Teach, Learn, Share

The greatest thing you can do for someone is to give them knowledge and let them make their own decision. You learn the greatest lessons from mistakes. Nobody should be deprived of that freedom.
