About Me

Hello! I’m Som 🍊 currently working full-time as a product manager in fintech, and part-time as a traveler, wanderer, and nature lover.

Right now, I’m on a one-month solo trip around Europe—my first time here—and I’m so excited to explore each city, meet new people, and soak in whatever joy each place has to offer. ☺️

I’m open-minded, respectful, and genuinely curious about people and places. Couchsurfing, to me, is not just about finding a place to stay. It’s about sharing stories, perspectives, and maybe even a simple homemade meal together.

Hope to cross paths with anyone here somewhere along the way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think the best part of traveling is meeting the locals. It brings so much more depth and meaning to the journey.

I travel not just for adventure, but to understand the world beyond my own. I love becoming a small part of the local culture, even just for a moment, and seeing how people live, eat, think, and enjoy life in their ways. For me, that’s the most beautiful way to truly experience a place—not just as a visitor, but as someone who’s learning and connecting.

Couchsurfing feels like the perfect way to do that. I’m here to exchange stories, cultures, and perspectives, and to make my trip more meaningful through real connections.

Interests

I’m someone who finds happiness in the little things, walking aimlessly, watching people in parks and markets, lying down on the grass doing nothing, or spending hours in a gallery or museum. I’m also really into photography and capturing quiet, beautiful moments when I travel.

Nature is my forever love. Trees, rivers, mountains, animal, I could walk and hike all day just to be surrounded by them. When I worked at Yellowstone during a summer exchange program, I hiked almost every week and got to see wildlife up close. That experience reminded me how healing and powerful nature is. I still carry that feeling with me everywhere I go.

I also love running, especially in new cities and parks—it’s one of my favorite ways to explore. And food! I enjoy trying local dishes, visiting farmers markets, and learning how people live and eat in different cultures. 🥰

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had was joining a summer exchange program in the U.S., where I worked at Grant Village in Yellowstone National Park. It was my first time being far from home and traveling solo—and it honestly changed my life.

For almost 3 months, I worked with American friends and international buddies from all over the world. I did so many things I’d never tried before—like hitchhiking to Grand Teton and going on a full moon hike in the middle of nature. Most days were full of joy, laughters, and beautiful moments.

When the summer ended, my heart was literally broken (I swear). I cried so much! But it also left me with the warmest memories. That summer will forever be stuck in my heart, endlessly. <3

Teach, Learn, Share

Anything local—your favorite hidden spots, dishes, traditions, or daily life stories. Not mandatory, but If you have time to share, I’d be super grateful.

I believe every conversation is a chance to learn something new, and I’m always happy to exchange ideas, experiences, or even just chill and talk about life :-)
