About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to always be open to changing my mission.

ABOUT ME

I'm a mellow person and generally pretty quiet. People who know me well would probably describe me as a caring and sincere person. I don't like being in the spotlight. I enjoy helping others whenever I can (and I wish I had a couch/spare room to offer right about now - hopefully soon!). Like most people here I enjoy traveling and hope to do more of it. I'm not married and have no intentions of meeting women using this service. I don't smoke or drink.

PHILOSOPHY

To make the most of every day and appreciate everyone around me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Only with family and close friends so far, aside from a random short stay in Japan. The stay in Japan was great because I got to see how families actually live there. I have rented apartments and houses (in place of hotels) ever since because [up until now] it has brought me as close to 'the local culture' as possible.

Interests

Hiking and just about anything outdoors, photography, most things automotive, learning about people and cultures, woodworking, art, computers.

Music, Movies, and Books

I typically read everything I can find about a destination I'm heading to. Most of the other books in my 'library' are business-related. I don't watch too many movies, but usually gravitate torwards comedy and drama when offered the choice. I also watch foreign films whenever I can get my hands on them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent two years fighting cancer (and won).
