About Me

Hi there! Pleasure to meet you *virtually*. So I'm new to this Couchsurfing-thing-y and i'm beyond excited to have experience here!

Well, let's get to know each other first. My name is Sonia Holtrop. I'm currently studying Accounting as my major. For my personality, i can say i'm pretty outgoing, but sometimes can be sensitive! My personality type is ENFJ (I took the psychotest).

These past 2 years, I've been a quite active person both in my university and outside. I love to meet new people & working in team, that's why i've been joining so many organizations. My organizations' experiences are: Project Manager in Accounting Student Board, Coordinator of Mentor, Fundraising, Sponsorship Divisions, Staff of Public Relations, Logistic, Publication Divisions.

Then, i have several international experiences since i joined AIESEC in Bandung, those experiences are: Local Volunteer, Organizing Committee of Finance & Logistic, and Host Family!

Besides of being active in organizations, i want you guys to know me more! I'm a dog-person, but i'm OKAY with animals (except spider), i have a golden retriever and 2 tortoises :) And then, i'm also a food enthusiast so i can't say no to good foods! Lastly, i always have the urge to travel, i love visiting new countries & feel the ambience there :)

So, that's about me! Hope it makes you have a little bit information about me :)
Have a nice day <3

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would love to meet new people from around the world besides in AIESEC and i would love to learn their cultures or having cross-cultural experiences if i ever had to stay in their houses :)

Interests

  • traveling
  • music
  • food
  • beach

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Jason Mraz, Colbie Caillat, Oasis, The 1975, Coldplay, A Rocket To The Moon, Drake and many more!
Movies: Mostly romance and comedy, a big no to horror and thriller.
Books: Nicholas Sparks, Lang Leav, and many more! Mostly about poems :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Joined AIESEC! A true life changing for me :) and then being an active person in so many organizations made me the urge to improve my interpersonal & intrapersonal skills!

Teach, Learn, Share

I've never taught and shared anything but probably would love to introduce Indonesia's culture in simplest way!
And of course would love to learn about new cultures and the diversity itself.

What I Can Share with Hosts

1. Cross-cultural experiences
2. Cooking -- Cooking is one of my hobby since i was in middle school, i may not that good in meal cooking but i can cook some pastries (since i'm so passionate about pastry and dessert). But don't worry I would love to help my host to cook and clean the utilizes :)
3. Clean the room -- My personal opinion is, i have to clean the room as my responsibility to my couchsurfing host. So don't worry i will make it clean and tidy by the morning before i'm going out:)

Countries I’ve Visited

Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand
