ABOUT ME
I'm a songwriter/musician/recording engineer sometimes substitute teacher, sometimes Uber driver. My life is pretty dedicated to music (as of this profile edit, my main project can be seen at http://www.faithlessfollowers.com and you can also hear what I've done at http://holysheboygan.bandcamp.com). Besides writing and performing, I help people record music, gather people for house shows, and host free-improv sessions in my home town of Milwaukee. Beyond music, I like to read, have good conversations, play board games, and ski (downhill and cross-country).
I'm interested in a lot of the -isms and am happy to converse on any of them...anarchism, socialism, feminism, humanism, nihlism, universalism, buddhism, taoism...i'm a philisophical wanderer who's never found a home, but is happy to meet others where they are (I've been told I'm a true blue Pisces for that)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As a guest I love to help out with a good meal (including clean up) and am very interested to check out the area with my host if they are willing.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My partner and I did a lot of couchsurfing in Europe. We had some really really great hosts. Most showed us around town and offered us meals. Some were just there for a great conversation before heading out. Either way, I felt like I made friends very quickly through CS.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
fishing off the coast of Ireland. And some of the music sessions in Ireland - music is such a natural part of life over there. Been there 3 times. Last time, I stayed there for 3 months. I really love that island.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have lots to say on organic agriculture, but still lots more to learn on the subject. I also play saxophone and guitar well enough to give lessons and irish tin whistle, banjo, mandolin and keyboards well enough to need more lessons.
I'm pretty good with technology as far as the arts go. I'm decent with ProTools among other recording software and Final Cut.
I like convincing people who don't normally play music that they are indeed musical by nature (we all have a heartbeat!)
Currently I seek knowledge concerning percussion (I need to hone in my rhythm skills) and anarchism (true anarchism that brings people together to create a society free of hierarchical shackles)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Conversation, music, meals, games (card, board or otherwise)
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Romania, United Kingdom
