About Me
Hi, my name is Sonia 👋🏽
My full name is Sofya, but everybody (except my grandpa) call me Sonia. I was born in Belarus, graduated high school and was studying design in the university for one year. I choose design cause since my childhood I did it better than anything else and I’m sure, people should do what they can do good. Than I moved to Belgium. Now l’m learning language and getting ready to enter the university. I’m quick-tempered and I often regret about it, but I’m kind and try always to suggest my help. The hardest thing for me is to wake up early morning. The easiest- to cook something.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When my friend proposed me to travel by ourselves firstly it was a way to save some money like for many other people, but then I realized that it also a way to take an insight into another culture and customs, to look deeply into the country. To understand people and to know about their lives, about problems of these countries and their solving. Cause I think that country is not a location on a map and picturesque architecture but people who live there.
Interests
Like everybody else I like watching films. I like cooking, but I don’t like doing housework. I like glueing and fixing everything. I like do things by myself, even assembling furniture and hanging paintings. And, of course, I like traveling and getting to know something new.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like different music. And I can’t create a playlist because I like everything and I can’t listen something for a long time. I like reading, mostly fantasy like Harry Potter. I don’t like serious literature cause for me reading is a way to spend my free time in relaxing way. Speaking about films, I like serious ones, I don’t like comedies and films about war.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I’ve never seen or done anything amazing, on my opinion. But I think it’s really amazing what someone can do.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you to cook something, to paint, tell you some interesting things about Russian language, our country and culture of it. And I also know a lot about pets and can assemble furniture, repair things and sew up clothes.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can make dinner and wash the dishes, I can help you with some housework. Do what you do not want to do by yourself.
