CURRENT MISSION

At present am "couch surfing" through necessity...mostly my Mothers couch but have been known to wander to various friends house throughout Sydney...am in process of finding a home of my own so am just lookin to meet a few new "couch" mates along the way

ABOUT ME

Where do I start..."Im not crazy-Im just a little confused"...actually wld rather be tagged with a little on the crazy side..very impulsive which in hindsight can be very silly but dont think I wld have it any other way! Pretty easy going, totally un-judgemental, a little self critical but very passionate about the things I believe in & an extremely loyal friend. Dont care about what people I dont care about think about me..if they choose to make judgemments thats their problem..not mine. Am an extremely lucky 42yr old woman (though I like to think Im still a kid at heart :) as have a wonderful, very supportive family who love me always...seems to be pretty rare these days which is sad!

PHILOSOPHY

I dont REALLY think about the "whys" in life too often...just live it...really dont believe why we are here or where we will end up yrs from now needs too much attention...hate to sound like a cliche but life really can be too short & we need to enjoy the NOW (I do admit I need to start actually "thinking" about the future maybe a little more than I tend to but not let it take away from whats goin on in my life at this very moment). Also think honesty & respect are so so important in every kind of relationship with others..will always give it & expect the same in return...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hmmmm...dont have alot to offer in the way of material things but can offer my time, ear & understanding if I believe it will help someone who needs it...WILL have a "couch" to offer others as soon as I find myself a proper "home" for me & my 18yr old daughter when she needs it. Even if it takes a while it needs to be a "home"...not just a "house" as my home is important to me. Houses need to "feel" just right from the moment you 1st walk if you intend on spending a long time there...and I do when I eventually make that move!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Refer to my answer to "question 1"!!...have been "couch surfing" for the last couple of months through necessity which did not enjoy at 1st because it felt like I had taken so many steps backwards...once I relaxed & just went with it I can honestly say its what you make of it & I know I needed to get to this point so I could move on in my life...has taught me an awful lot & I appreciate that!

Interests

So so many things!!...watching my Daughter blossom & change constantly throughout her 18yr life, my friends & family, dancing-dancing & more dancing!, music you can "swing your hip"s to, painting houses, renovating old houses, old cars/ homes/ music/ bottles (collect old bottles) & love walking around the streets of some of the beautiful older suburbs we have throughout Syd just looking! ...facebook unfortunately...seems very hard to get off that one once Im on!!...LIFE!!

Music, Movies, and Books

Blues music wld have to be my favourite but Rock, Soul, Folk..a little bit of Jazz & a little bit of this & that but NEVER agro, heavy music..& think I could quite happily leave techno or opera to someone else :)
Again, so so many movies & books so will just mention the 1st ones that come to mind...Shawshank Redemption, Bugsy Malone, all of the "Oceans 11,12 & 13 movies (think perve factor might come in to play with those!), Cool Hand Luke, Schindlers List. Love both the book & movies of One Flew Over The Cookoos Nest & To Kill A Mocking Bird...love every single book written by Mandy Sayer & Roald Dahl...Angelas Ashes (RIP Frank McCourt) & last but definitly not least - Where The Wild Things Are :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Given birth to my beautiful baby girl (not so baby now I guess!)...that moment when she was placed on my tummy straight after being born. This was the most amazing feeling I have ever had!...this beautiful, scrunched up little girl with the most perfect,miniture little fingers, toes, everything was my "stomach" just moments before...the best moment in my whole life!!

Teach, Learn, Share

TEACH - whatever anyone can learn & take away from meeting me wld be great..practically- how to paint walls, fix & restore old homes & generally make a (happy) fool of yourself!

LEARN - whatever I can from the people I meet along my way...open to most things (ummm, apart from bungee jumping/ absailing/ generally anything that is gonna scare the s..t outa me!)

SHARE - dont have alot in the way of material things but happy to share what I can if needed...CAN share some time, care & an ear if needed too...was really surprised just how many people, who had practically nothing themselves, helped me when I was at my lowest points & will always to the same if I can.
