Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My goal is to wander all over the world meeting new people and experiencing new cultures. I grew up in the United States in a small town and yearn to learn new things and go out of my comfort zone.

Interests

Sit me down with a good book and I'll be occupied for hours - I love to spend time reading new books, whether the book be about cooking, traveling, science, etc.

When I'm at home, there's a good chance I'll be in the kitchen! I absolutely love to cook and try new recipes.

When I'm not cooking, reading, or spending time working or at school, I will be researching and dreaming of new places to visit! Pinterest is my ultimate travel tool when looking at pictures or finding things to try and do in new places - I could spend HOURS on the social site!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a lot of different music genres - whether it be hip hop, rap, pop, dance music, alternative, indie music, etc. The only genre I'm not really into is country - I grew up listening to it (I'm from a small country town!) and it never hit home with me.

I LOVE watching movies - my favorite types are documentaries (LOVE!), action movies, thrillers, comedies, mystery movies, and more!

I also love all types of books! I love to read because it's a way to escape from the realities of life and live another life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I studied abroad in Salzburg, Austria during the summer of 2014 - I went there knowing nobody and met a ton of awesome people whom I still good friends with today!

I recently went backpacking in Southeast Asia by myself, met tons of amazing people, and had some wild adventures.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share with you some odd small town Minnesota traditions - like what a hotdish is, what lefse tastes like (and what it is!), and I'll even let you make fun of my accent! Really - people think a midwest accent is hilarious. Lol!
