I'm a singer songwriter, journalist, and student from Oklahoma City. I play guitar and sing in a folk band called Annie Oakley with my identical twin sister Grace (she travels with me a lot), and a violinist named Nia.

I got on Couch Surfing after several of my friends told me about their lovely experiences with CS all over the world. With a lot of traveling and touring coming up for me in the next few years, I decided it was time to jump in! Also, on a side note; My household has been hosting touring musicians in our home for about three years now.

I'm one of the youngest in a family of a dozen multiracial, adoptive, and biological children. I have an endless amount of nieces and nephews, making me proud to be considered "the cool aunt" by them ;-)

When I'm not playing music, I spend quite a bit of my time hunting down sources for stories, climbing, doing yoga, taking photos, and participating in local politics and activism. On the state level, Oklahoma has a lot of work to do, and a lot of potential. I'm trying my best to tap into that potential in the time I spend living here!

I want to make new friends outside of the heartland! I want to experience this world I live in from a different view. And most of all, I want to hear all the stories others can share with me.

I love doing what makes me feel like a human. A lot of times, I find humanity when seeing live music, playing shows, bike riding, climbing, taking photos, running, hiking, horse riding, or playing a board game. Physical activity paired with social interaction is always ideal :-)

I try to read as much as I can each week, making it a goal to read a book a week. That can vary during the school semester, but I love going to sleep with a book in my lap no matter how busy I am. I'm forever adding to my ever growing reading list - tell me your favorites!!

I also just got into cooking vegetarian (and sometimes vegan) meals; I'm a novice, but I promise I won't make you any bad food!! And if you like banana bread, let me make you some!
