About Me

In 2012 I graduated high school at the Baltimore School for the Arts as an Opera major. Promptly after, I joined the AmeriCorps NCCC program where I mostly worked in Jersey for Hurricane Sandy relief. After that I traveled Europe for several months. Once I returned to US I moved to Maui, Hawaii where I did almost 6 months of organic farming on two different farms. After I returned to the mainland I went on a cross country road-trip doing various HelpX stops on the way. I then moved to Portland, Maine for a little under a year. I went back home to Baltimore, MD where I just finished a semester of college in the spring of 2015. I am awaiting another service year in October through AmeriCorps and wish to spend the next few months somewhere for the summer enjoying a different change of pace! I am currently in Colorado, but I wish to keep traveling and seeing more and more of America.
Thanks for reading! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As stated above, I am waiting to spend a year in October serving in AmeriCorps, but before then I wish to travel America and have fun in the parts of America that I don't know well. I know the East Coast like the back of my hand, but I don't know the West and West Coast very well at all. I hope to meet lots of people- that is my goal.

Music, Movies, and Books

Donnie Darko, Fargo, Arrested Development, The Office, Parks & Rec, OITNB, The Big Lebowski, Breaking Bad, Homeland, and all food safety documentaries.
I love all books that have to do with food- as in Fast Food Nation, Omnivore's Dilemma, or In Defense of Food. Also anything written by David Sedaris.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I frequently quit my job in Baltimore (I've been in and out of there since 2011!) and run to a different part of the country alone with just me and my car. I thrive on independence, although a little help from locals certainly helps my ability to travel; be it- a couch to stay on or suggestions for places to see.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love socializing with people and I like to go see new things and have new experiences. I want to keep making friends all over the country, as I have lots of my traveling friends visiting me whenever they are in Maryland.

Countries I’ve Visited
