My name is Sophia, I'm 21 Years old. I've been born and raised in Innsbruck(Austria) and been living in London for the past few months.
I've been to an architecture school which turned out to be not my thing, so I left and made some money with crafting costumes and props, I was working as a waitress at the same time and when I got an job offer from London I grabbed it and moved straight away. (From the offer to me moving where 3 weeks in between)
In February I will go back home to Austria to finish my education as waiter, so I decided before I go home, I do something crazy and go traveling for a Month.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I'm on a trip through Europe and I want to meet as many new people as possible!

Interests

I'm not a very sporty person, but when I see a pool of water, the sea or a lake, I can't not jump inside, I love water so much!
Same with music, when I hear a song I love I can't stand till. (I'm one of the people that start randomly dancing in the tube). Also I've done some classic dance lessons when I was younger, so I'm always up for a discofox, boogy or a walz!
I really love making films and do photography, the editing part is where I struggle but I still enjoy doing it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
Very open, I like a bit of everything, 70s 80s 90s are high up in my ranking though. Oh and don't forget my never dying love to the King of rock'n roll himself!
Books:
I've always loved fantasy books, and I read all of the famous francises(Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, GoT, Twilight) , but also some small and more unknown ones(Holbein, Dragons,...) . Lately I've been very much into classics though, so I started reading originals like Frankestein, Drakula, Dr. Jekyll and mr Hyde, great gatsby,...
In general I would say I read a lot and I can't get enough of it.
Movies:
Again, my passion for fantasy is always there. Everything that is fantasy, sci fi, dystopy, zombies, marvel/DC... I love it all. The only thing I cant handle are horror movies, I just can't watch them.
Also I like a good romcom once in a while as well as sometimes some action movies when the right actors are playing the lead 😏

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing and impressive thing I've ever seen was sitting ontop of a mountain and looking down inside of an active vulcano.
That was on Stromboli in italy and this vulcano erupts every few minutes. When you are sitting there a few hundred meters away from the crater and you can see those 100 to 200m high eruptions you just feel so small and in that situation all of you problems seem so tiny and unimportant, that you start thinking differently about your life.
That was an amazing experience.

I can teach you some German or Austrian, in general I can tell you some differences because people don't seem to be aware that there is a lot 😝

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can show you how to make some traditional austrian food very easy.
If you need to craft anything I can give you tons of tips and tricks on how to craft things and make them look amazing.
Or I can show you how a waiter opens a bottle or holds more than two plates because I just realised I'm pretty useless and have no idea whatelse to offer 🤣
