About Me

Hello! my name is Sophia, and i was brought up in Australia. My parents come from Argentina so I was lucky enough to inherit spanish as a second language :) I study environmental science, which i'm a huge fan of, especially coastal kind of stuff. I work a few jobs here and there, just to save money for future travel or other enjoyable Adventures; camping, festivals, live music, etc. I have a deep interest in understanding love, relationships, gender, and feminism and I love a good conversation about these topics. I also like to make things with string: baskets, dream-catchers, crochet, jewelry, etc. lastly, I'm not exactly musically inclined, but I do like to play the cello sometimes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing sounds cool, a lot of my friends have stayed with great people around the world. It would be nice be able to meet wonderful people myself, and have wonderful people stay with me too

Interests

Eating delicious home-made food, reading, podcasts, listening to good music, going to live shows, drinking cheap wine, doing craft and hanging with my pals

Music, Movies, and Books

All music can be pretty sweet, but as a general rule: as long as I can groove to it, I'm into it! But my favourites are Fat Freddy's Drop, Cat Empire, Edward Sharpe, Alt J, Jose Gonzalez, and so many more.

Favourite movie of all time would have to be Ten things i hate about you. Can't get enough of it. But I love a good movie, a recommendation that really hits the spot!

Books and reading are very important to me, and have taught me a lot about myself and other people. I go through phases of book themes as I grow up. At the moment, my reading involves big stories that usually cover the whole life of a character. For example, The World according to Garp, Shadow of the Wind, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travel Vietnam by motorbike!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach my hosts how to crochet, make a dreamcatcher, or anything to do with string really! I can also bake caramel slices and vegan brownies! Also I can try teaching you Spanish, and I'll try be as patient as possible!

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Cambodia, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Laos, Spain, Thailand, Viet Nam
