About Me

I am currently traveling around Europe with my long term boyfriend Jack (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/jack-wellington), who is 23 and also a Kiwi. We both grew up in Wellington New Zealand. I graduated from the University of Otago in Dunedin with a bachelor of science and worked in a medical research lab in Wellington until May 2016 when I took half a year off to travel around Europe. Since I've been back I have been working with Jack in Queenstown New Zealand and the Shotover Canyon Swing and Fox (we love a good adrenaline hit!). I love outdoor activities (rock climbing in particular) and meeting new people! I am very open minded in all things, including religion and sexuality and believe in full equality (as I'm sure most people on this site do!).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am brand new to couch surfing! Traveling and meeting new people are two of my favorite things. I have joined because I'm keen to meet locals in every place that I go to get some insider information on the culture, history, cuisine and the places to go in the cities that we visit.

Music, Movies, and Books

The music that I like depends on my mood. I am into pretty much all genres except maybe heavy metal but even that I can enjoy after a few drinks!! Day to day I like to listen to indie pop/rock, reggae and RnB and I always love being introduced to new music. Listening to live music (no matter what the style) is one of my absolute favorite things to do!

Not that big into movies, although I like the odd one now and then. Books - I'm a big fan of Game of Thrones and Harry Potter (but who Isn't!?). I have recently been reading a bit of Margaret Atwood and I have a very long list of other books to get through during my holiday - as with the music I love new suggestions!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in one of the most beautiful countries in the world every day is an amazing experience! I have also done many amazing things throughout my travels - I can tell you more about them if we meet :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a native English speaker but would love to learn a new language! Spanish and Italian appeal to me the most but I would like to pick up at least the basics in every place I go.

I also love to learn about the native cuisines of the places I travel to! I love to cook (and eat!) and have taken cooking classes in both India and Thailand . My favorite cuisines so far are Italian and Indian!

Yoga is another thing that I love to share - I can teach you some basics and would love to learn more myself :)
