Hey everyone 🤗
My name is Sophie, I’m 19 years old and a German girl doing a work and travel year in Canada. My friends would describe me as happy, friendly and open minded person, who is always looking forward to meet new people, while making new experiences. Furthermore I’m absolutely an outdoor person: I love nature and every kind of outdoor activity.

After discovering the west coast I would like to explore the east now. I’ll make my way through Kingston, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City and will see where else I want to go :)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

After working for nearly 6 months in Canada, I would like to use my last month for traveling and meeting nice people. I heard just good things about Couchsurfing and would like to make new experiences, while meeting locals

兴趣

Most of the outdoor activities (especially hiking, cycling, camping kayaking…) and am a big animal lover (worked with horses for over 7 years)

I enjoy reading a lot. (Mainly science fiction/fantasy but also non fiction)
And like all kind of music; discovered in Canada more country music and enjoyed learning a few line dances :D

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

A roadtrip in the march in the Rocky Mountains. We were sleeping with four person in a minivan, with outside temperatures until -15 degrees. Incredible mountains covered in snow, nearly empty trails and lots of fun with all the snow.

I don’t have specific things I want to learn, I think everybody has something interesting to share and I’m curious to see what’s it is :)

As a person of a pretty outdoorsy family, I have quit a few nice stories and photos of different outdoor activities ((multi day) hiking, kayaking…) from different (European) countries to share.
Besides of that I grew up bilingual (with a German dad and a French mom), so I can tell you more about two different countries and cultures and, If wanted, help with two languages.

I have a sleeping bag I can sleep in and don’t have a problem with sleeping on the ground.
Of course I can buy my own food, but also enjoy cooking and baking, what I would be happy to share with my host.
