Hey, I’m Sophie! 21y/o from Melbourne Australia, currently taking a year off from studying after completing my Bachelor of Arts majoring in Sustainability in 2018. This year I’ve been working and am now travelling in Europe and North Africa, hoping to see as many amazing places as I can.

In 2017 I studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark, which really ignited my love for travel and becoming immersed in new places. I’m a very easygoing and independent traveller.

I’m new to solo travel, but have enjoyed the little trips I have done so far, as I find it a great way to see places in a different light. I love meeting and getting to know new people, and would love some more opportunities to do so, especially when I’m visiting a new city by myself!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing to meet and get to know new people in a new city, and to discover a different side of the places I visit. I love getting to know new people but sometimes find it hard to do so while I’m travelling solo, so Couchsurfing seems like a great way to meet likeminded people and make new friends.

I love reading all sorts of books - you will never find me without my kindle in my bag (so I can read lots of books on the road). I love hearing about people’s favourite books, as well as good recommendations!

I enjoy watching all sorts of movies, but I’m definitely a sucker for a good romantic film.
