Sometimes I avoid people and I like doing things on my own. But I'm open-minded and interested in quite a lot of different things. I like (almost) everythink that is associated with nature, animals and an environmental lifestyle, inkluding hiking, biking or beeing in nature. Music is really fascinating, even if I'm not listening to every genre. If possible I try to find a small jazz bar in every place I'm visiting. In my free time I listen to and do a lot of music (playing in different bands and orchestras, singing in a choir), I watch movies, fight against food waste and I'm always free for some foolery.

I studied Biodiversity and Ecology in Göttingen and was one semester in Sweden and still love this country. But it was too theoretical so I decided last year to become a gardener. One or two weeks every year I also take part in a "Bergwaldprojekt" in Germany, where I can REALLY do something to keep nature in balance (work in endangered ecosystems...).

Unfortunately I don't have so much free time anymore. Standing up at 6 am, going to work and come back around 5pm. And I need unusually much sleep...

I tried to live vegan but it's still kinda hard, so I'm still vegetarian. If someone feels the need to eat meat or fish I shall not stop him ;) But maybe we can talk about healthy food (also healthy for our planet) :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think this is the best opportunity to meet people, see places and to get experiences in different things!
Especially when I don't have time to travel I want to help people to find a place to sleep, having fun or keep traveling.

Interests

I try to change my lifestyle for the good of the planet: less waist, veggie, make our garden a nice place for wild animals, helping to stop food waist. I'm always looking for new ideas and researches against climate change (even if I don't have a perfect lifestyle).
