Hi, I'm Sophie. Born and raised in England, I've now been in London for two years. Essentially looked around the office a couple of months ago and decided emphatically that there must be more than this - so I've quit and setting off around the world in March. Will I find that 'more'? Who knows but I'm sure the adventure is going to be worth it. Coming to a town near you soon!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

At first I didn't believe such a cool community existed. It sounded too good to be true that you can rock up at someone's home and they'd be willing to put you up for a night - and not just any someone, a guy or girl that shares common interests and attitudes! I want to pick your brains on where to go and what to do (it's my first time solo travelling) and hopefully can share some fun stories and fun experiences. Plus, I like the idea that by staying with someone you get to know them a bit better than just randomly talking to someone in a queue. Love a good DMC!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmm probably teaching in Africa and all the travel that went with that (inc. climbing Kilimanjaro ). Although hands down my greatest achievement is - and probably always will be - getting into recovery.
