Hi there!

I'm a UK/Danish student, currently studying for a masters in the Netherlands. I'm studying Human Origins in archaeology, and looking at fire in the home during the Palaeolithic (about 30-15,000 years ago) in France!

I'm an avid crocheter, love photography, and a keen climber and boulderer (though I still fall off a lot), and love exploring green spaces in cities, as well as museums.

I feel most like myself places with lots of water, whether that's the sea, lakes or rivers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I start my last academic year in Leiden this September and unfortunately, due to the lack of student housing in Leiden, I'm currently homeless for a while! I'd really like to use this opportunity to meet more people in Leiden and make more friends based in the city.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music wise, I'm a big Rae Morris fan, as well as really enjoying Frank Turner, The Wave Pictures, Cat Empire, Kesha, Slow Club, and Hayley Kiyoko (I'm trying to restrain myself here...). I love listening to most stuff and always on the look out for new earworms

Unfortunately due to my studies I can't find as much time to read as I'd like, but I'm currently working on the Earths Children series by Jean Auel, which are great so far!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you how to crochet? And how to make mushroom bolognese, or a surprisingly delicious hot chocolate! I'm also happy to chat in either English or Danish to help us both practice.

I'd love to learn more about different cuisines, and am up for learning whatever you'd like to share!

I love to share food, I find cooking and sharing a meal with people an excellent way to connect, as well as share a part of your history- food has such a rich history for all of us.
