Music, Movies, and Books
Well always hard to downsize down to some names... Looking at the shelf in my room, one film definitely to name, is 'Bombay Beach' by Alma Har'el - a wonderfully poetic told story about human relationships, catching them at their core, without exhibiting the protagonists in any way. Which shows actually a nice connection to couchsurfing, in the sense of building relations to new people - by getting their thoughts to know, while experiencing new environments.
Next to Bombay Beach there is 'The devil and Daniel Johnston' on the shelf, which moved me a lot back then and brought me this inspiring musician and person closer. Leading on to music... Just put for my current summertrip the new PJ Harvey album on my mp3 player, accompanied by the older 'Rid of me'. Bookwise a little story by Barbi Markovic got in my backpack, which features some very nice, a bit off the track humour with some bizarre twists and details. So that was after all some name dropping in the end :).
