About Me

I’m from in Manchester in England and currently travelling full time for as long as I am lucky enough to be able to… I love to travel solo to have some freedom and meet amazing people along the way. I believe we learn the most about the world and ourselves through meeting others.
In my spare time I like to go to gigs, hang out with friends, exercise and play football, and escape the city when I can to spend some time outdoors. I love to hike and usually on my travels this is what you will find me doing. I enjoy the calm and simple feeling you get in nature, and the challenge and accomplishment of completing a hard trek. I also love to learn about the history of a city and how that shapes the culture and architecture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To find deeper connections with people while I’m travelling. I’m currently travelling full time and staying only in hostels can sometimes mean you meet a lot of people, but rarely get to know them well. My experience in Couchsurfing has always been the opposite because the people I have met even in a short time have become friends, and usually the highlight of my experience in a city.

Music, Movies, and Books

Will talk for days about the history and evolution of punk music, it’s a passion 🤓
It can take me months to finish a book so short stories are always best! An amazing book I read was The Gentle Art of Tramping, a man’s account of hiking all over the world. It’s from the 1920s but nice to see a lot of the same sentiments transcend time.
“No number of museums or handbooks can give you the sum of reality obtained upon the road”

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hand-glided over Rio 😍 hiked the Annupurna circuit in Nepal (amazing and also the hardest thing I’ve done!)

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to cook and always interested to learn new dishes and native cuisines.
I want to learn to mountain bike and skateboard! Please teach me 😅
Let’s share travel stories, experiences, knowledge and laughs ☺️

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good company, good laughs ☺️ happy to contribute to the house in whatever way I can in return for your kindness of hosting! I’ll always keep things clean and tidy and buy food, it’s common manners I think
