Über mich
I'm an American living in Spain, working as an English teacher in a primary school. I studied public health in school but upon graduating from my university I decided I wanted a complete change. Moving to a different continent seemed to be the best way to challenge myself and learn more about the world. Hence the need to continue traveling!
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
I think the best travel experiences can be made by meeting people in the actual cities you're traveling to! Hearing the perspective/stories/inside scoop from a local is usually the best way to capture the essence of a place. As much as I love seeing museums and famous buildings, I also like being able to put a friendly face to traveling experience I've had. I'm more interested in making the trip as least touristy as possible and finding cool people to have good conversations with over a drink or coffee

Musik, Filme und Bücher
I'll listen to just about anything that isn't country. I'm a huge fan of old classic rock like Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd etc, but I can get just as excited to rap all the words to a Kendrick song. Into the non-radio rap scene in the States. Current Indie obsessions include Tame Impala and Toro y Moi among others. Also into some electronic stuff like GRiZ, Flume, Baths, Pogo.....
I think Amelie is the most precious movie ever made and I also love Delicatessen by Jeunet. Other favorites include Good Will Hunting, National Treasure (ok I know Nick Cage is crazy but the history part of it all was cool, ok?), Blow Up, The Game, Fight Club, Pixar movies, and anything that isn't overly cheesy or gorey. If I'm in the mood to watch something, I'm more likely to be binge watching BBC documentaries or a series like the Office, Arrested Development, 30 Rock, Sherlock, Stranger Things, Shameless, Black Mirror, Community, Malcolm in the Middle, It's Always Sunny, stuff like that!
Love reading, especially non-fiction works in an investigative journalism style or memoirs. Just read the memoir of the founder of Nike and it was awesome!
Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
I can walk on my hands for about 20 steps.

You can practice English and Spanish with me. I can also teach you some basic yoga! I don't have a formal trainer certificate but I've been doing yoga pretty much my whole life and really enjoy leading people through a flow. If you're into cooking, we can exchange recipes and I'll even let you in on the secrets of how I make my amazing coconut chicken soup. I know Spain very well and can offer travel recommendations/cool things to do in about half of the country's cities.
Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann
I'll bring you some amazing Spanish ham :) I also make mandala designs on canvases, so if you'd like a small piece of original art for your home I'd be happy to draw you up something.
