Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the cultural exchange that is possible through couchsurfing. My couchsurfing experience in Australia, New Zealand, Brazil and the US showed me how much more you can learn about a country and its peolple through staying with locals who are curious to meet travelers. I love to share travel experiences and get an authentic impression of the places I'm visiting, and I believe that couchsurfing makes all of that possible.

During couchsurfing experiences so far, we mostly used my friends profile. I finally got an own one, but havn't many references yet. I hope this won't be a reason for rejections.

I think couchsurfing should be a mutually beneficial experience- I'm happy if the host is willing to teach me something about his city and I can, in return, share my knowledge about Germany or any of the other places I've been to.
