I grew up in the Netherlands but since I was 16 I've been traveling and living in different places around the world. At the moment I'm finishing up my bachelor in Sociology/Anthropology in Minnesota, USA . I'm trying to make the most out of my time in the US and see new places whenever I can!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm new to Couchsurfing! So still figuring out how this all works.. But I think one of the most valuable things about traveling is meeting and connecting with other travelers & locals. I love getting to know new places from locals' perspectives because it's a perspective you normally don't get if you're staying in a hotel. As anthropology geeks would probably agree with me, the best way of getting to know and really experiencing a place is by talking and spending time with people!

Interests

I really really like learning new languages and exploring different cultures. In my free time when the weather is nice (which doesn't happen often in the places I've lived) I enjoy sailing, rowing, and running. I also recently starting boxing so I'm not very good but it's definitely fun and a good workout!
