I'm a happy person. I like to be busy and traveling. In 07-08 I had an amazing Erasmus year in Vienna. Family and friends are really important to me. I like trying new hobbies. I like to be spontaneous and have fun, but I also like to think deeply too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've couch-surfed in Switzerland and in Germany, where I met some amazing people. Still waiting to host due to housemates who were strongly against, but hopefully in my new place in London in a few months time...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had a fantastic time in Switzerland last summer - my 1st CS experience. Have helped show CS travelers round in London ;)

Interests

Generally I have many interests and pursue the ones that fit in with what's available in the place that I'm in. In Vienna blading and climbing, in London galleries, meeting people, markets, dancing, the good life...

the Edukators, Goodbye Lenin, Amelie, Casino Royale, The Third Man, das Leben der Anderen, Pirates of the Carib., Match Point, Chocolat, Im Juli, Gegen die Wand, American Beauty, Ray, Free Rainer, die Herbstzeitlosen - I'll watch most things except extreme horror!
Music: most types of music, love jazz (a favourite is Diane Reeves), world (Latin American, African...), classical (Bach's cello suites, most things that are well played). Lighter rock such as H Grönemeyer is good. I like pop and dance music sometimes, but not all the time. I love live music as it has atmosphere!
Theatre: auf Deutsch Bernhard plays are really interesting. As are plays by Peter Handke. While in Vienna i've seen some Nestroy, Schnitzler, Peter Turrini, Jelinek, von Horvath, Dürrenmatt...
Books: been reading things auf Deutsch recently. So Thomas Brüssig, Arno Geiger, Lilian Faschinger, Sabine Gruber

Volunteer project in Germany 06.
Living and working in Alpine Huts in summer 07 for 11 weeks!
Living in Vienna for a year.
Being a student in London for 3 years!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach others baking, cooking, English, basic climbing. I just passed the Cambridge CELTA teaching English certificate.
I love to learn most things - I want to improve my Spanish, new recipes, new climbing moves.
