I really hate About Me sections. I find it so difficult to put words on "who I am". I think this is partly because of the limitations of the human language and partly because I'm not entirely sure.

So what's real for me right now is that I'm living in Honolulu, Hawaii managing a bikini shop and an airbnb. The nature on the island is breathtaking, I truly wasn't prepared for the energy of this place. It's captivating.

I recently started singing and playing an instrument for the first time in like 15 years and I'm really proud of myself for that. I teach Yoga and I also write- I have a blog where I write about life - www.sophiaflorence.me

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I feel like my time here on O'ahu is coming to an end and though I don't know what's coming next, I am quite certain that it will involve travel as I'm feeling the urge to roam - "itchy feet." So that's why I'm back on Couchsurfing. Over the years I've had really special experiences through this community- also really mundane experiences and even a few crazy ones.

Through couch surfing I've witnessed many profound moments of generous hospitality that make me hopeful and optimistic about humanity. It feels magical to connect with people from completely different parts and walks of life and create fleeting, yet meaningful moments in time.
