About Me
ABOUT ME
I am from Berkeley, California and just completed a year of Americorps in San Francisco after graduating from Hampshire College in 2015. I am passionate about finding creative ways to address climate change and the social injustices in our world. I see these issues as deeply interconnected, and thus chose to study art and creative expression as means to building more sustainable and thriving communities and cities worldwide. This search for model projects and greater understanding of my place in the world has led me to five continents. Traveling has introduced me to the most generous people everywhere I go, motivating me to open my house and be as generous as I can wherever I am.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe that by making myself vulnerable to strangers opens me to the essence of life and humanness. A place where generosity is met with gratitude, respect, and more generosity! I want to live in a world where humans respond like the Earth does - with never-ending generosity and beauty. I have found that through my informal couch surfing experiences (like hosting friends of friends from Chile whom I had never met) made it possible for me to feel reconnected to the rest of the world without going anywhere. These real face-to-face experiences are precious in our world today and are at the root of all social movements and give me hope for a better future where greed does not rule the world.
Interests
I like to make art, dance, and meet people from all different walks of life. I am interested in talking about how we can strive to live in more environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable ways. I like any music that I can dance to. I love street art and riding bicycles and taking public transportation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently learned how to sail a boat for a month in Baja Mexico. With a group, I camped on remote beaches, learned how to navigate from beach to beach, and practiced my leadership and collaboration skills.
Teach, Learn, Share
My partner, Cory, and I have begun a project called Earth Practice where we have been interviewing people whom we believe have a particularly adept daily practice making the world a better place to live for all creatures on earth. We gather these inspiring stories to share with others on a blog that we are currently developing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a leader in an international expressive arts practice called InterPlay. We could turn your living room into a place to share stories and movement in a fun and easy way that will make you feel like you can do and be anything in the world!
