I am very active, love to run and bike, cook interesting food for friends and family, and curl up with a book. Wednesday night at the Green Mill for Gypsy Jazz is a favorite in terms of local Chicago music. I read a lot and lately can't get enough of Louise Penney's mystery series. Other faves include: Huraki Murakami, Kurt Vonnegut, Chris Hedges, Mary Oliver, Sue Monk Kidd, and many other authors.

I can take travelers on a walking tour of Rogers Park, Chicago. I live in an incredibly diverse neighborhood next to Lake Michigan. The 'hood is full of art, and interesting restaurants and bars.
