About Me

CURRENT MISSION

"I am still learning, I am still unlearning"

ABOUT ME

I learned about my passion for traveling when I first studied abroad in Bordeaux, France in 2014. I studied abroad a second time in Sydney, Australia in 2016 and from then till now I've explored different parts of Europe, South East Asia and Australia as a student backpacker. I'm thankful for the opportunities I've had to experience different cultures and people, and for everything I've learned by leaving home.

I recently graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with BA in psychology and am now settled back in California working full time for a non-profit organization called Seneca Family of Agencies. I work specifically for a mental health program that serves youth between the ages of 12-17. As much as I do enjoy my work, I don't have as much free time to travel now but I try and plan trips whenever I can :)

I'd say I'm an extravert because I don't like to be alone very much. That said, I'm quite calm and get along best with those who are sincere and open minded.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've learned that couch surfing is an awesome way to meet new people with equally open personalities! Also hanging out with locals in an area is so beneficial and I definitely feel like I'm getting the most of my stay in a new place. What really makes a place special to me is not the historical monuments - it's the people that I meet.
