About Me
CURRENT MISSION
sharing the adventures of my offspring as they progress on their paths, finding the time (and resources) for my own adventures
ABOUT ME
In my working life I have always had to be outgoing and often kind of courageous.
I did a lot of different things after I left home at 17 - nurses training, traveling in Europe (then still divided by the "iron curtain"). I had three children and worked with their father. I worked as contact and organizer in commercial photography, then returned to nursing and did some more training.
Now the youngsters are all "on the move" and I am once more traveling on my own.
As forward as I may be professionally, as shy I can be in private.
I retired in 2018 after 40 working years and I very much enjoy my new freedom.
A weakness of mine is to be a bit of a smart ass. I can only hope for patience in others - I try to be good, but sometimes I cannot help it.
PHILOSOPHY
non fui, fui, non sum, non curo
Favorite Philosopher: Richard Dawkins 😉
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Traveling I met CS members to share walks, talks and sights
I stayed at wonderful and welcoming homes and the chance to meet these people has enriched my life.
I have hosted guests who were equally charming and delightful, and whom I shall always remember with affection.
