ABOUT ME

SOTZ is a non profit guest house all voluntering located in Panajachel, Guatemala, the house is frequented by children who work in Panajachel and come here to share with travellers and learn new things

It´s because of that we have created a workshop program for kids given by travelers and volunteers, where they can learn valuable skills to help their physical, mental and spiritual development. You can stay with us for free, by donation, exchange or volunteering.

WORKSHOPS
Recycling, organic gardening, permaculture, cooking classes, natural construction, weaving, artesania, yoga, art, music, etc.

ACTIVITIES
Camping, fishing, crab hunting, lake clean up, replant forests and mountains, etc.

We're opening our house to enthusiastic backpackers, travelers and volunteers interested in participating and supporting projects that directly benefit the Lake Atitlan, indigenous communities and street children.

We are interested in making connections with like-minded and free spirited people. We would love to exchange ideas, workshops, experiences, activities, knowledge, etc. ! We're open to all the possibilities and so whatever you're into or feel like sharing, let us know. Our formula is that everyone has something to contribute and share to change this world for better.

Come enjoy Lake Atitlan with us and our volunteers! We also are passionate and knowledgable about lake Atitlan and its souroundings, so we love taking our new friends on exclusive tours and activities that directly support the comunity and ongoing projects.

LOCATION

You can find us at the end of most popular street Calle Santander, 100 mts. before the lake on the right, there is an alley-way, follow the blue mandala the front door is black and has 'SOTZ' written in yellow. Do not go to the end of the alley way as that is a different location!.we are near stores, coffee shops, the post office, internet cafe and restaurants, we are also within walking distance to both principle docks.

Our personal philosophy is that THOUGHTS are REALITY. So how you think about yourself, your world, and your place in the world, will determine the outcome of your experience. Another way to say this is that our Minds are the Source of Creation. Let's combine powers together! :)

We are inviting Couchsurfers to come and stay. Trough doing so, our intention is to welcome likeminded people who are interested in exchange of some sort, we are open to whatever you feel you can offer or provide.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

i went to the top of the atitlan volcano and walked down backwards, I lived with a vampire bat, I sent my dog to the underworld and bring it back, I went to the heavens and came back, I found myself, my family and my dogs in the stars, among other things.

We are really into Mayan Cosmovision, Ayurveda Life Science, and Sacred Geometry. We can teach workshops in exchange for anything similar or completely different. You tell me what you're into and we'll see what we can do! Surprises are the best.
