My name is Soukaïna, and I am a set designer based in Paris, France. I hold a degree in architecture, which has greatly influenced my work in set design for film and tv shows. Originally from Nantes, I co-own a family record shop there with my parents.

Fluent in English, French, and Spanish, I thrive in multicultural environments and live in a shared house with 13 international roommates in Paris. This unique living situation allows me to practice my languages daily and connect with people from diverse backgrounds.

My passion for music is a significant part of my life. I am a member of the reggae sound system Zion Gate HiFi and love singing soul and reggae music. Additionally, I enjoy dancing hip hop, salsa, and modern jazz.

I am also a dedicated vegetarian and an enthusiastic solo traveler, often embarking on spontaneous journeys. My connection to Mexico is strong, having studied there and visiting every two years.

Through my work and personal interests, I am committed to cultural exchange, continuous learning, and artistic expression.

I went to mexico during a year to study architecture. I started to travel and meet people thanks to this website.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Soul, hip hop, funk, reggae, and afro music in general. My favorite movies are the godfather ( not really original😅) Notting hill( yes i'm a romantic :) )... I love to read about Afro feminism, and also science fiction but I am opened to any recommendation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time, while waiting in line at a bank in Cuba, I overheard some people speaking French. Curious, I started listening and soon realized they were talking about the city where I had studied. When I turned around, I was surprised to see that the speakers were two former students from my architecture school in France, whom I hadn't seen in years. It truly is a small world!

I love cooking. I grew up in a vegetarian and Rastafarian family so i can teach how to cook Ital.
I also can teach you french, Spanish and some créole expressions.
