ABOUT ME

Ever since I was a kid I would routinely find myself in settings outside of my comfort zone. While growing up, I would pursue the slightly risky and unconventional which gave me the reputation of being weird. In high school, my interests ranged from robotics to Indian culture. For college, I moved across the country to California where I didn't know anyone. After graduation, I moved across the world to Japan. That took some getting used to especially since I only knew about 26 Japanese characters (there's 10s of thousands).

Again, pushing out of the comfort zone, I decided to drop several stable alternatives and devote myself to a fledgling IT business in Tokyo. That lead to other opportunities that would have been impossible to take part in had I not truly explored my career options.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In 2006 I had my first experience with "couch surfing" in Malaka, Malaysia although it wasn't arranged through couchsurfing.com. It was really one of the best times I have spent abroad. It definitely beats staying is hostels or hotels. And the people were the best!
