About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Stay as far away from an office life as possible.

ABOUT ME

I used to be an avid bodyboarder/ surfer, until a surf trip to Indonesia brought me to earthquake-damaged Padang (West Sumatra). After 2 months volunteering with an organization called Hands On Disaster Response (now known as All Hands Volunteers) I followed the organization to Leogane, Haiti where I have been living and working since March, 2010.

PHILOSOPHY

Let's just wait and see what happens tomorrow. Until then I'm just gonna do what sounds like fun today.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to host other couch surfers...as soon as I have a couch! (I currently live in a tent on the roof of a half-constructed building in Leogane, Haiti.)

Interests

Traveling, bodyboarding, movies, building and designing things, random road trips with unclear destinations.

Music, Movies, and Books

Will Farrel hasn't made a bad movie yet!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

New Year's Eve 2009 on a deserted island in Indonesia with a group of volunteers, a fishing boat, enough beer, and some snorkeling equipment. No one got hurt.

I've helped to rebuild three schools in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake. Plus 86 emergency classrooms (tents).
