I grew up in on the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand. I trained as an Engineer, however decided against that career path pretty quickly, and have gone back to basics teaching sailing and hiking. 'Better to be at the bottom of a ladder you want to climb than at the top of one you don't' I was told, and so I am sticking to that philosophy.
