Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am yet to host via CS, but my couch has been home to many wanderers over the years and i am certainly no stanger to the joy of having travellers and homeless friends use my space when needed.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet, but was taken back to the home of a Navajo Indian when i was hitchhiking through the US recently and it was very lovely.. she made my boyfriend and I sandwiches and told us all about her experience as a foster mother.. she let us use her shower in the morning, made us breakfast and drove us to a good spot to hitchike.. i was amazed and humbled at the kindness of strangers and it gave me soo much hope for mankind <3

Interests

I am very interested in traditional medicine and have been studying under various teachers for many years.. I spent a few years studying Traditional Chinese Medicine and am now a student of a curandero which is a traditional plant doctor from the Amazon Jungle.
Im also doing a part-time naturopathy diploma to supplement what i learn with my teachers

Plants, animals, hiking, climbing, sustainable development, permaculture, martial arts, yoga, meditation, the science of consciousness and how to manipulate it, aboriginal cultures, movement medicine, sound medicine, food medicine, creating and enjoying artwork, writing, slam and beat poetry are all things that really get me excited about the world and interested in learning more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumping out of an aeroplane at 18000 feet left me pretty awestruck :P

Handraising lion cubs at the Lion Park in South Africa for 5years of my life was definitely one of the most significant experiences iv had and continues to have a strong influence over my entire life.

Living in the peruvian Amazon Jungle 7months and getting to study traditional medicine under an incredible healer stands out as one of the most magical things i have done in my life.
