Cycling from UK to New Zealnd

ABOUT ME

My name is Mark Milward, born in Bristol, over the years lived in several places in the UK, ranging from Bristol, Loughborough, Cambridge to Edinburgh.

Currently, on an adventure of a lifetime in a self supported cycle tour from the UK to New Zealand with my lovely and delightful partner Claire Rugman.

My love of the outdoors grew when I was at University, where I was actively involved in the University Caving Club which meant lots of camping and caving in the Peak district and in Yorkshire.

I have completed a couple of short cycle tours before in Belgium and Netherlands, and along the west coast of Scotland.

From an early age, I rather take my toys apart and try to put them together again much to the distraught to my mum. This eventually lead me into my profession of an electronic and electrical researcher having successfully gained both a degree and Ph.D in electronics.
