About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Wherever I go, there I am. In all of my travels around the world, this one persistent truth has remained. I know I've evolved and that my Experiences have shaped who I am, but sometimes it's hard to fully grasp what it's all meant. I wouldn't change it for the world, in fact, I'll keep on traveling and discovering. I feel like it's my path to self discovery, to a big part of my fulfilment in life. The world is too small and life is too short.

ABOUT ME

Life is about the journey, not the destination

PHILOSOPHY

Strive to -

1) Follow your heart and be yourself.

2) Live for today. Why get caught up in comparisons or trying to prove something to the world?. We owe it to ourselves not to. So put away your Twitter and Facebook and Instagram for a moment and just live for NOW

2) Give what I can to the world and take from it what I need.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've met some fantastic people through CS in Boston. In fact, I met some of my best friends 7 years ago at a meetup. I used to go out weekly for those meetups in Cambridge, but haven't found the time to do it as of late. I do occasionally host people, and I surf here and there on my travels.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfing in the US, Canada, South America, Asia, and Europe. All top notch experiences. Host on occasion...when I have a stable residence.

Interests

Traveling, dancing, and finding ways to make a difference in the world, whilst learning about myself (Seems that this will never end). I could spend a lifetime exploring the world and still want more.

I spent the last year living in Japan. I participated in the Kenshusei program under the teaching of the world-famous Jacques Payet Sensei. It pushed me past my mental and physical limits. By far the toughest and most challenging thing I've ever done in my life. I cursed myself through weeks of grueling training for having signed up for it, but in the end, I managed to finish the course and earned my blackbelt. I haven't trained as of late but I carry with me many of the lessons and knowledge I gained during that time.

I'm obsessed with Dancing now. I joined salsa schools and hit the Dance floor all over the globe. I spent a month in Cali, Colombia getting a taste of the Salsa capital of the world, and their crazy fast footwork. I took casino classes while living in Spain, salsa in Japan, bachata and salsa in Denver, Then salsa on 2 in Boston, casino and afro Cuban in Cuba, and now on MIT Casino Rueda team and teaching casino lessons in Cambridge. I'm going back to Cuba 3 more times in the next year to get more. I think casino is my true love.

I appreciate genuine and honest people, and really admire people who are able to fully embrace themselves and life without fear. Being a dancer is a plus too!
