About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Take it one day at a time and revel in the unique experiences life has to offer. The world is smaller than we think, and life is short, so go out and take it in!

ABOUT ME

Life is about the journey, not the destination

PHILOSOPHY

Strive to -

Follow your heart and be yourself.

Remember that life is short. Don't get caught up in trivialities.

Give what you can to the world and take from it what you need.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've met some fantastic people through CS in Boston. In fact, some of my best friends are Boston CSers. I used to go out for the weekly meetups in Cambridge, but haven't found the time to do it as of late. I do occasionally host people, and I surf here and there on my travels.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfing in the US, Canada, South America, Asia, and Europe. All top notch experiences!! Host on occasion...when I have a stable residence ;)

Interests

Traveling, spirituality, and finding ways to make a difference in the world, whilst learning about myself (Seems that this will never end!). I could spend a lifetime exploring the world and still want more.

I spent the last year living in Japan. I participated in the Kenshusei program under the teaching of the world-famous Jacques Payet Sensei. It pushed me past my mental and physical limits. By far the toughest and most challenging thing I've ever done in my life. I cursed myself through weeks of grueling training for having signed up for it, but in the end, I managed to finish the course and earned my blackbelt!

I'm obsessed with Dancing now. I've joined salsa schools and hit the pisto de baile all over the globe. I spent a month in Cali, Colombia getting a taste of the Salsa capital of the world, and their crazy fast footwork. Most recently I joined a performance team in Denver...we're performing in Vegas in July! I'm considering a long trip to Cuba for more...I mean, why not, right??

I appreciate genuine and honest people, and really admire people who are able to fully embrace themselves and life without fear.

Music, Movies & Books

Music - Radiohead, Dave Matthews Band, Josh Ritter, Pink Floyd, Kings of Leon, Paul Oakenfold, Soda Stereo, and Mana. I dig music from the late 60s and 70s, as well as some of the Blues and Jazz classics, and Latin dance music too.
Movies - Amores Perros, Office Space, Training Day, Motorcycle Diaries, Gross Point Blank, documentaries.
Books - Ham on Rye, Genghis Khan, Sidhartha, Papillon, The alchemist, Buddha's Brain, Cien Anos de Soledad, Tuesdays With Morrie, Nomad Hotel, Difficult Conversations.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Cruising into a sunset of an untouched masterpiece in Antarctica after 23 hours of daylight...the sun didn't even fully set
