I just moved to Chicago, Illinois from Detroit, Michigan and decided to take a trip before I start working full-time again. I enjoy meeting new people, hearing and telling stories, trying new food and drinks, and generally exploring.

Looking to meet locals on my solo trip around Europe.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never couchsurfed before! Some good friends have had great experiences in the US and Europe, so I decided to finally give it a try. Since I'm traveling by myself for the first time, it also seems like a good idea to meet people, not get lonely and to feel comfortable while traveling.

Music: I love almost all music! Really into Motown tunes from Detroit especially.

Books: Mostly fiction, but can get into non-fiction as well. Favorites: Harry Potter! The Glass Castle, Time Traveler's Wife.

Lying on a boat in the middle of a lake in Northern Michigan and just watching the stars... There's nothing more beautiful than a clear summer night!

I can teach my Midwestern phrases and slang, card and drinking games, my mediocre German skills or basic Spanish.

I would love to learn anything and everything about other cultures, traditions and languages. I'm a great listener!

Happy to share my stories, culture and experiences. I also love to cook for others.
