About Me

To meet as many interesting people as possible and learn from them

I LOVE travel! Especially the roads less travelled! I love meeting people when I travel, for me they make the city. I love to hear their philosophies and opinions.I love our earth and sooner or later everyone has to realise we got to start treating it with respect.I have been living in the jungle of the Papua New Guinea Highlands for the last 18 months but have left to move to Fernie, Canada for a healthy dose of powder!visited 54 states (24%)Create your own visited map of The World or Free iphone travel guide

Work whenever, travel forever

Never rely on the opinions of other to judge an experience, person or place - you must only judge something for yourself

All different, all equal

Love and respect

The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page. St. Augustine.

There are only a fortunate few on this world blessed with the freedom of exploration, if you are one of these few exercise your right now while this planet and we humans still exist!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Whenever I can - learn and share, share and learn

A lovely lady restored my faith in humans on a bus in Singapore 8 years ago by offering a bed in her flat. On this same trip I had been mugged at knifepoint and she got me thinking ahhh yessss people are good after all.

Half the time I spent in London was on someone elses bed, couch, floor, bath etc....

I found out about CS earlier this year from a lovely croatian guy. So have only surfed so far and am loving it! I wish I knew about CS years ago!

Teach, Learn, Share

Only when the last tree has been cut down; Only when the last river has been poisoned; Only when the last fish has been caught; Only then will you find that money cannot be eaten.

Quote given to me by a wise young canadian traveller that I WWOOFed with.
'Once a journey is designed, equiped and put into process, a new factor enters and takes over. A trip, a safari, an exploration, is an entity, different from all other journeys. It has a personality, temperament, individuality, uniqueness. A journey is a person in itself; no two are alike. And all plans, safeguards, policing and coercion are fruitless. We find after years of struggle taht we do not take a trip; a trip takes us. Tour masters, schedules, reservations, brass-bound and inevitable, dusk themselves to wreckage on the personality of the trip. Only when this is recognised can the blown-in-the-glass bum relax and go along with it. Only then do all frustrations fall away. In this a journey is like a marriage. The certain way to be wrong is to think you can control it. I feel better now, having said this although only those who have experienced it will understand it.' John Stienbeck, Travels with Charley in Search of America.
