ABOUT ME

I am a 22 year old from the Midwestern United States, now residing in the Pacific Northwest. I work a boring job, but I am currently trying to figure out what exactly I want to do with my life- I know for sure travel and learning are things I need to do more of. I've never ventured outside of North America, simply for lack of opportunity to do so, and I desperately want to change that. I am also a naturally shy person who has worked very hard to break out of that and meet new people. It is still a struggle for me to make friends, and I think couchsurfing and hosting will be an easy way for me to be social and work through my shyness.

I try to live life positively and never say no to a new experience.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am extremely interested in hosting, but am unable to do so in my current living situation- that may change in the next couple of months, though! I definitely will be looking to couch surf when I start traveling. I am saving to backpack through Europe in fall of 2013 and may take some shorter trips around my own country before then if I have the chance.

Interests

I studied theatre in college and still love it, but no longer pursue it as a career. I also love to read and learn, I host bar trivia weekly, and I tap dance. Other interests include cooking, karaoke, watching movies, going to museums, animals (I would love to have pets!), being vegetarian, and spending time with people I care about.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I am not picky about movies, I even like the bad ones. I just want a good story and honest acting and maybe throw in something I haven't seen done before. I am also a sucker for horror movies.

Music: I am also not picky about music! I honestly love pop music these days as well as country because they're fun to listen to. My favorite artist is Elvis Costello, who isn't pop or country, but a genre all his own.

Books: Of Human Bondage, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Harry Potter, currently reading A Game of Thrones
